BIOMAT is a European Project https://biomat-testbed.eu/ (An Open Innovation Test Bed for Nano-Enabled Bio-Based PUR Foams and Composites) with the main objective to establish an Open Innovation Test Bed for the benefit of industries and SMEs, aiming to facilitate the cross-border partnership and accelerate innovation in nano-enabled bio-based Polyurethane insulation materials for these industries. The project fits the guidelines of green chemistry and green economy.

Whitin the European BIOMAT project, concerning the production of different bio-based polymer composite materials, the 26 partners invite all interested companies to participate in the “Open Tender” (as described in the video), to test/use any of the services (i.e.: use of a plant, technology, equipment, formulations, LCA analysis) developed under the BIOMAT project completely free of charge.

Within the project, The CNR (IPCB and SCITEC) will develop bio-based filler functionalization and bio-based enabled Polyurethane foams at pilot scale through new processing technologies and novel bio-based foam formulations. The know-how and the technologies are available to all SME and companies which want to take advantage of them. You can participate and apply for the services developed in the BIOMAT project through the Open Tender call.
