EUROPEAN COMMUNITIESAn Open Innovation Test Bed for Nano-Enabled Bio-Based PUR Foams and Composites

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The main objective of BIOMAT is to establish an Open Innovation Test Bed for the benefit of industries and SMEs, aiming to facilitate the cross-border partnership and accelerate innovation in nano-enabled bio-based Polyurethane insulation materials. The CNR will participate at the project through two Institutes IPCB and SCITEC. CNR will develop sustainable functional fillers and bio-based enabled Polyurethane foams at pilot scale through new processing technologies and novel bio-based foam formulations.

KEYWORDS: Nano-enabled polyurethanes, bio-based polymers, nanotechnology, functional fillers, TestBed
